“If a young person can’t learn how we teach then maybe we should teach how they learn” 

My name is Jack Lloyd I work mainly up at our west stow site and work with all of our Age groups. I spend most of my days fixing bikes or lighting fires. Unfortunately the two don’t cross over! 

There can be many reasons why a young person may not be engaging in “regular” education however we see this as an opportunity for us to help them find their spark! 

I have completed an Apprenticeship in outdoor activity leadership which set me on a path for where I am now. Working with up to sixty unique young people at a time opens your eyes to how different we all are. Having a background with practical hands on learning.Understanding the trials and tribulations that our young people face from my time under local authority care my perspective offers a different way of seeing the world while also empowering the next generation.

My focus is on unpicking struggles with education whilst being as interactive and engaging as possible. No two people will ever be the same so why should my approach be!
