We hope everyone had a wonderful Summer Holiday and like this young man managed to enjoy the lovely weather:

Or were you working like this young man gaining valuable work experience as a plumber:

So with only 3 days in the first week back – what did we get up to?..lots of course!
Here we have a bit of VR Headset happening, wonder what game he is playing?

Adventure golf, a game of big Connect Four and a game of Squash were some of the sporting activities that took place this week.

And some of our young people took part in cycling and some got to watch the epic Tour Of Britain:

And whilst the weather continued to be kind to us we kept educating outside.
We had some playing around on the monkey bars, chilling in a hammock and feeding the ducks. How was this education. Well we had fitness, agility, animal care, kindness and learning the art of relaxation, a very valuable life skill.

An educational visit to see boat wrecks

Building some electrical circuits, building and a bicarbonate of soda science experiment.

Over in Newmarket 1 a new radiator has been fitted to our MX5 project

In Newmarket 2 we made a guitar mount for the wall and fixing the guitar with resin.

Back to Maths and engaging really well.

Not just back to school for some of our young people, its also time to enquire about college and looking at post-16 and aiming high for their future!

A future project for our young people in Newmarket 2 with some restoration of benches, looking forward to seeing the results in the coming weeks.

Well its been an awesome first week – always really hard to get back into the routine and our young people have as always excelled in participating and engaging in their learning.
Our Ethos
No one can begin to affect the world around them until they are CONFIDENT , COMFORTABLE, happy in their own skin and have found their SPARK! We take the time to understand and develop programmes from where the learner is in the world not where we think they should be.
